High on Mt. Olympus, Hera has banished Zeus' latest mistress, Hecate, Goddess of Magic to Agnostos, a watery prison known as The Triangle of the Unknown. Agnostos is also the only place where the gods and goddesses are stripped of their powers. Near death, Hecate discovers the remains of an ancient Titan curse which leads to a mysterious ocean portal and attempts to use this knowledge to break free from Agnostos. However, back on Olympus the 12 gods bicker over Hecate's fate until a Titan spirit visits Athena and reveals the truth about what lies beneath the ocean's gateway to the earth's core. Athena has to convince her fellow Olympians that the only way they can save their kingdom is to work together as a team - something they are not very good at. Once the warriors are chosen, an epic journey follows, as they fight their way through the molten earth to its very center, where a giant like no other awaits, ready to overcome the Olympians with a single breath.
The unique story of Jennifer and her teenage son, Nicholas Perrotti teaming together to write a mythology series has been featured on many blogs and articles since its publication in July 2013. Of Greek heritage, Jennifer and Nicholas decided to give their favorite ancient ancestors a bit of a makeover, while providing a new twist on a timeless storyline. They crafted a story that included a scorned goddess, bickering Olympians and a battle of wits with an unknown god. Revising chapters via email within their New York City apartment and arguing over dialogue and characterization was a lot more fun than nagging about homework and chores! It is the first in the Myths of the Olympians series, and you will see a running theme throughout these books that make them educational as well as entertaining.
